================================================
Areaman - Patch build #8.0.0.9 to build 8.0.0.10
================================================

Problems addressed as of this release:

- fixing bogus boosters creation when User has moved all boosters to Hard Disk

- modifying file open/save functions in order to respond to Windows messages
  ( uses PeekMessage, TranslateMessage and DispatchMessage APIs now )

====================================
How to apply the patch (AREAMAN.BDF)
====================================

1. Ensure your AreaMan version is the one that needs patching. To do this:
   - Open Windows Explorer.
   - Change to AreaMan directory.
   - Highlight AreaMan executable icon.
   - Right click with mouse and click on 'Properties' (name might change
     with Windows different language version).
   - Click on 'Version Info' tab-sheet page.
   - File version should be 8.0.0.9 and 'Date' version-info key should
     read: Compiled 11/2/98

2. Unzip the archive package in the same directory you have AreaMan installed.

3. Open DOS prompt box and change to the directory where AreaMan is installed
   (Ex: cd "\Program Files\Central Park Informatica\AreaMan" - users of 4DOS
    v. 4.5.5 or higher may omit the double quotes).

4. Shut all instances of AreaMan you are running, if any.

5. type PATCH.BAT

6. when patching operation is done, delete AREAMAN.ORG, AREAMAN.BDF and
   PATCH.BAT. Instead, keep the update utility (BUPDATE.EXE) in case of
   future patches. It is suggested you move it to a directory included
   in your PATH statement in AUTOEXEC.BAT - otherwise you may find it on
   most major Internet sites ( just do a search for BDIFF128.ZIP using
   Archie, FtpSearch, AltaVista or any other kind of file retrieval
   engine).

7. Note that while this fixes bogus boosters problem, that doesn't actually
   rebuild anything. After loading your favourite VIS file you must go and
   delete bogus boosters manually.
